Dr. Harmon has been a part of the Appalachian exploration industry for 30 years, establishing and leading one of the most skilled teams of natural gas exploration professionals in an effort to expand and develop the boundaries of the eastern producing basin. He founded Triana Energy in December 2000 and also served as President and CEO of Union Drilling, Inc., a non-affiliated contract drilling company in Appalachia from 2000 to 2003. He had previously worked with the Columbia Energy Group for 22 years where he served as President and CEO of several of its non-regulated energy subsidiaries, including Columbia Natural Resources. Under his leadership, CNR grew from a valuation of $300 million to its ultimate sale in November 2005 for nearly $3.2 billion.

Richard W. BeardsleyRichard W. Beardsley
Senior Vice President, Exploration

Mr. Beardsley is widely recognized as the premier geophysicist in the Appalachian Region for his work in the discovery and definition of Eastern Overthrust, Rose Run features in Ohio, and the Trenton-Black River formation both of which redefined the productive potential of this Basin. In 2002 he was selected by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists to receive its first ever "Explorer" designation. He was one of the original team members of Triana Energy and has served as its Vice President of geoscience and exploration. He has over 30 years experience in Appalachia and is broadly recognized as a leading authority in the region.

Shawn E. CaseyShawn E. Casey
Senior Vice President, Business Development

Mr. Casey has been an integral part of the oil and gas industry since 1984, managing land, joint ventures, corporate acquisitions, pipeline capacity marketing, and volume management. He was formerly responsible for managing Columbia Natural Resources' nearly 4 million acre property base and its numerous joint venture partnerships. He is widely known among Appalachian producers and was responsible for the dramatic expansion of CNR's mineral holdings from 1998 to 2000.  Mr. Casey has continued to expand Triana Energy's acreage base through joint ventures with major industry partners to access Marcellus and Lower Huron Shale development opportunities throughout the Appalachian Basin and other emerging plays.  Mr. Casey is a member of the Board of Directors of Triana Energy Investments.

Mark ChandlerMark Chandler
Senior Vice President and CFO

Mr. Chandler has been Vice President and CFO of Triana and its predecessors since 1989. He is a central figure in all M&A transactions and in negotiating major credit facilities. Previously, he was CFO for Columbia Natural Resources and was a partner in the firm, Chandler and Lockhart, CPA’s. He is a board member of the Charleston Area Medical Center and former chair of the WV Society of CPA’s.

James A. JarrelJames A. Jarrell
Vice President, Secretary & General Counsel

Mr. Jarrell has accumulated over 30 years of experience in the natural gas industry, including more than 25 years with Columbia Gas Transmission Corporation serving in various capacities, including five years as General Counsel and two years as head of Columbia’s Asset Management Group. After departing Columbia in 2000, Mr. Jarrell worked as a private practitioner with law firms both in West Virginia and Pennsylvania, representing clients involved in all aspects of the natural gas industry.

Mr. Jarrell has a broad experience in the natural gas industry and has served at the senior management level for Columbia and other companies for well over 15 years.

James A. JarrelJames "Eddy" Grey
Senior Vice President & COO

Mr. Grey has over 20 years of experience in various aspects of natural gas company operations.  Mr. Grey rejoined the Triana Services team in late February, 2010 after spending five years with Chesapeake Energy (CHK).   Formerly, he was a part of the management team of the original Triana Energy and Columbia Natural Resources since late 1989.  He has degrees in both Civil Engineering and Surveying from WV University Institute of Technology.  He is also a Registered Professional Engineer, currently licensed in the states of WV, OH, KY, PA, MD, NY, VA, and TN, and a Registered Professional Surveyor, licensed in the state of WV. 

Mr. Grey is widely recognized as a leader in regulatory environment.  He has broad experience in the design and remediation of trouble watershed projects.
